1. This is my favorite photograph Ive taken so far in photography. I took it a church in Swansea down a path to the cemetery. This photo has strong contrast with strong color values. The green from the grass, trees, and bushes surround the center subject. I took it behind a bush and cement post which was left out of focus, along with background. This gives the viewer a better focus on the main subject.

3. This image is important to me because it is my car that i have been building for over a year now. It shows what the car looks like now and allows me to see how much it has changed.
4. Overall there is nothing i would change about this photo.

PAINTING WITH LIGHT
Written Reflection:
Where did you discover color in your everyday environment? The color of the grass, skies, walls, and basically all of my surroundings.
Are the colors you captured natural or manmade? My colors natural and manmade. The leaves are natural and colors of objects are all man made.
What color schemes did you capture? In photo number 1 in painting with light, the lights in the back and glares created accented analogous. Each photo is capturing different settings with all different color schemes.
Describe the colors in you photo/photos. Are the colors primary? secondary?complementary? monochromatic? analogous? Photo number 1 has primary colors (red) while photos 1 and 3 in color outside of school are using analogous green .
Describe the composition of your shot...how did you make color the most important part of your photos?
I made color the most important part of my photos by making them stand out and making it the first thing the viewer notices. High vibrance colors and saturation with a center focus point.
How did you change settings on your camera to create vivid color in your shots?
I changed the shutter speeds for motion doing painting with light, changed the aperture for a strong depth of feild with the leafs, and adjusting iso's for bright and dark exposures.

Still Life
John Decker
These photos by John Decker are apart of his Homeless Photography. This deals with social justice and their ranks in this world. It shows the lives of poor people that get overlooked everyday by people are not living that kind of life. These images are not historically important but show the hard life people had back before the world industrialized. These images help promote the social change between normal citizens and disadvantaged citizens such as homeless people. John Decker takes these photos in a way showing the difficulties of their life. These images do not promote any cultural or environmental awareness. Each of these images show the way of life not everyone is used to because homeless people in this society are looked down at. Everyday life is a daily routine and you never have time to really understand what poor homeless people deal with. To most people going a day without your cell phone or other electronics is unbearable but to homeless people owning things like a cellphone is an honor.

Photo Series 3
- What does your photo essay convey about the history or present day culture of Somerset or Berkley? My photo essay shows the history of Somerset Berkley Regional High school, a landmark of Somerset. It shows pictures of the school after it was demolished while also including pictures of the new school.
- What subjects or subject matter (or places or people) illustrate(s) your idea? My main subject is Somerset High School. The images of the the old vs. new illustrate the transformation.
- How did you edit, manipulate or sequence your photos to convey your idea for this final photo series? I sequenced my photos of the school from old to new, old to new, and old to new. This gives the viewer a way to see how much has changed during the build process.
- Select one of the photos in your series and tell how you composed and edited the photograph. In photo 3, It was taken during the night. I set my camera to a low shutter speed and used a flashlight to shine light on my main subject. The camera was able to catch all of the light on the subject while leaving the surrounding in blackness.
- Thinking of Somerset and/or Berkley's rich historical past, what do you envision for the town's futures? What is next? I envision all of the old buildings to be rebuilt and/or preserved for the future. While some buildings may lose their potential and are no longer able to be kept, I believe they will be torn down and rebuilt in time to come.
Impressionists Photo Project
A boy has gone on a adventure around the world viewing all different kinds of sights. He was able to see a school up in flames, a mysterious land behind a fence where no one may pass through, a budduh giving away its spirits in the darkness, and a territorial border from the early 1900's.
After going for a hike over the bridge to another land he found a some more sights. They were sights of thrill and excitement that gives you trippy feelings. There was a shark that transformed into a car and a magical forest land where people were hanging from the trees like monkeys.
