Line and Shape
I chose to shoot my photos of natural subjects that you see everyday. I took many photos of a signs and buildings and objects you would see on the street or in the city. I varied the point of view in my photos by capturing them above, below, and straight on the subject. I used the rule of thirds for the photo of the "No Trespassing" sign. I had the fence in the bottom half of the picture, the sky in the top half, and the sign in the bottom right hand corner. I left the background blurry and the sign in focus so it is read by the veiwer.
Pattern and texture
My best photo is the picture of the furry jacket. It is like an animals fur where you can visually see the texture. I took this picture at home in first person, straight on view. I chose this angle because you could see the texture of the fur and how it is standing up and flat in some areas. I used a direct light pointing at the ground so the shadows would give it a 3D effect. I did not use the rule of thirds in this picture there was no background to use and you could see more texture with it being in the center. My second photo of the window blinds best leads the viewers eye because it is mostly lines with the pull string in the middle. My first photo is the most dynamic composition for showing texture because every strand of the fur has a shadow and there are many darks and lights.
Movement
1) In picture #2 i used a shutter speed of 1/15 to blur the motion of Ericka jumping.
2) I used a tripod so i did the capture the motion of the camera.
3) Ericka's body turning shows motion such as her arms and legs.
4) I used shape because Ericka's body is in the center of the doors on a brick building with all different squares on it. Brings out the shape of her body.
---------
1) To freeze action I used a shutter speed of 1/200th.
2) I freezed the action of Ericka jumping up into the air.
3) I was about 6 feet away and from eye point of view.
4) I used shape by getting the view of Ericka being in the center of both doors and having the shape of her jumping in the air on a solid background.
----------
1) The picture of Karah and kayla running around eric while he is still, is showing movement by the girls and focus on eric. I used a shutter speed of 1/15 to acheive this because the slower the shutter is the more movement showed.
2) I used a tripod so i did not get a blurry image from camera shake.
3)Kara and Kayla are showing motion by running around Eric.
4) I used shape with the outline of Eric and the background of the brick wall and doors.
5) This picture gives the feel of movement because you feel as if you are still looking at the picture like Eric and other people are moving.
-----------
1) I used a shutter speed of 15" seconds to achieve this because you had to have the camera capture the stream of light.
2) I used the flashlight on my phone to achieve this because it allowed me to move around while the camera captures the light.
3) The camera focused on the light on the image making the background dark so you could not see me.
4) The viewer would think of how the photographer did it or if it was a special effect in an editor.

5)I used dark and bright lights to give a scary effect. The lights come down from the ceiling onto the floor where you would walk to the door.
